Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between you and 1151337 BC Ltd, doing business as Veloce (“Veloce,” “we,” “us”), not Apple Inc. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the App Store license (Apple Media Services Terms, Exhibit D). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

By using the Veloce mobile app or the website at https://veloce-marketing-fisuagpee-1151337.vercel.app (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Veloce is a personal speed-reading app for iPhone. You paste or import text, read one word at a time (RSVP) or in other modes, and keep progress on your device. The marketing site describes the product; it is not a web reader and does not process checkout.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices through the App Store or TestFlight, subject to these Terms and Apple's terms.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or disrupt the Services except as permitted by law
• Use the Services for unlawful content or purposes
• Misrepresent affiliation with Veloce
• Circumvent store billing or access controls for paid features

You acknowledge that Veloce, not Apple, is responsible for the app, maintenance, product claims, and intellectual-property claims. Apple has no warranty obligation beyond what Apple Media Services provides. You represent that you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country and are not on a prohibited party list. Third-party terms (Apple, RevenueCat) also apply.

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. The Services are not directed at children under 13.

You retain rights to text you import. You represent and warrant that you have the right to paste, import, and read that material. Veloce does not grant a license to pirate books, host a public library, or import URLs for content you lack rights to use.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Veloce against claims arising from your imported content or misuse of the Services.

Veloce Pro is sold only through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. USD prices on our website are references; the App Store shows local tax-inclusive prices. Monthly and yearly subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in iOS Settings → Subscriptions. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Restore purchases in the app (Settings or Customer Center). Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). This website does not process payments.

Free includes the complete offline reader (library, core modes, Listen, Focus, streaks, export). Pro adds iCloud backup, labeled bookmarks, notes, theme packs, Read Along, Quiz Me, adaptive pacing, weekly summaries, and cosmetic Soft focus appearance. See pricing for reference tiers.

The Services are provided “as is.” Reading speed and comprehension results vary; we do not guarantee specific WPM or outcomes. Veloce is not medical, therapeutic, or educational advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veloce will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50), except where prohibited. Some jurisdictions (including parts of Canada and the EU) do not allow exclusion of statutory consumer guarantees or negligence — those laws apply where required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, EEA, or Quebec, you keep the non-waivable protections of your place of residence.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate; you may not assign without our consent.

The Veloce name, icon, and software belong to 1151337 BC Ltd or are used by it under license. No license to our engine or marks is granted except as needed to use the app. Veloce is not affiliated with Spritz, Bionic Reading, or other third-party reading trademarks. We do not claim a registered trademark or patent on the reader.

You represent that you will comply with applicable export and sanctions laws.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version and date. Material changes will receive reasonable notice where required by law.
